If the earth were human S.G (aged 11)
If the earth were human it would scream as it drowned in a sea of pollution and hatred, Diseased by us humans, who do not care. We fight each other because of our arguments, wasting our precious earth’s resources and replacing them with waste.
Why must we fight? Why must we kill? We cannot continue to make the earth ill! Why can we not learn to stop the killing?
We are killing not only humans and animals for sport, but we are killing our planet and we must learn to stop.

 The Spiral Poetry for Peace Competition 2007 is now closed. Over 350 entries were received, and the winning poem will be used as the theme page for a new interactive online peace campaign designed by Bluhalo, one of UK's leading digital design and build agencies.
