By Paulina Ivanova
Aged 14
Set out at three,
Daisies at 5 minutes past.
Cows at half past,
Daisies at 2 miles,
Poppies at 3 miles,
Children playing at four.
Children crying at 6 miles
Detour mine field, extra mile
Ruined village at 7 miles
Wasted lives at 7 miles
Poppies at 10.
Craters at half-way; morbid, beautiful scenery.
Forest
Field of white delicate graves at 10 miles.
Death at all miles,
Better turn back.
(Wish I could do the same with time)
For peace we can only look ahead, make it ourselves, no turning back.
