Peace

By Pamela Odunaiya

(over 22)

Let there be a universe of peace where unspoken music will be resting like a cradled baby

Let there be a vision of peace where delightful nocturine verses become idyllic night magnets

Let there be a poetry of peace where  all is admired and resolved  even with myopic gestures

Let there be a colour of peace where autumn and summer shake hands  and winter and spring breathe as one

The Spiral Poetry for Peace Competition 2007 is now closed. Over 350 entries were received, and the winning poem will be used as the theme page for a new interactive online peace campaign designed by Bluhalo, one of UK's leading digital design and build agencies. The winning poem will be annouced on the 21st of September. In the meantime, check out these poems which we thought were worth mentioning. We will be uploading poems daily to this section, so come back often to read the poems and celebrate Peace through Poetry.
