Over 40 people gathered at the Dancing Brave room for the Seminar - Ignore us please, we are single.

Rev Stephen Kuhrt opened the seminar and introduced a number of key statistics on singleness.

In an innovative 'speed chat' representatives from each of the organizationshad the opportunity to speak with delegates for six (very short) minutes. A number od the delegates said they were:

'Shocked by the statisctics'

'Surprised at the figures (did not know that the issue was that widespread.'

However, a few people did think the situation was much worse than potrayed.

A key request was for the organsations to produce a resource that can support Churches in helping single people in theit congregations.

An excellent and informative event, but maybe a self fulfilling prophecy? We were ignored by the group of people we wanted to attract the most.

The session was designed to empower and resource churches to meet the specific needs of this growing sector. It was advertised as 'a must attend for anyone in church leadership with single people or unattached people in their congregation or parish'.
