the Spiral peace challenge

No mans land

by Gemma McCallion

Age: 17 -21

Is there a place free from strife, land that that has not

been scarred by war, fertilised by mans infliction on man?

Is there a mind that is void of doubt

insecurity and guilt

a harmonious mind adrift a calm sea?

If man is merely a wanton wretched child, we can never acquiesce, a

higher plane is where we shall meet

Find me this place of sanctuary and purity, and there you will find

your peace.

The Spiral Poetry for Peace Competition 2007 is now closed. Over 350 entries were received, and the winning poem will be used as the theme page for a new interactive online peace campaign designed by Bluhalo, one of UK's leading digital design and build agencies. The winning poem will be annouced on the 21st of September. In the meantime, check out these poems which we thought were worth mentioning. We will be uploading poems daily to this section, so come back often to read the poems and celebrate Peace through Poetry.
